Bioanalytical Platform

MiniQES — one instrument, an expanding analyte menu

A benchtop Quantum Electrochemical Spectroscopy system paired with cloud analysis. Pipette once, wait thirty minutes, and keep the data forever.

MiniQES instrument, three-quarter view

Overview

Instrument overview

MiniQES is designed for laboratories that need more measurements, more often — not a larger core facility.

Everything that normally makes bioanalysis slow — assay development, reagent sourcing, sample preparation, cold chain — is removed. What remains is a sealed sensing interface, a precise electrochemical drive, and a data path to the cloud. Because the instrument does not encode which analytes it measures, the menu grows through software releases rather than through new consumables.

Workflow

Six steps, one pipetting action

01

Pipette

Transfer 2–4µl of untreated sample directly into a vial. No extraction, dilution or clean-up.

02

Load

Place up to six vials into MiniQES and start the run from the on-instrument interface.

03

Acquire

The instrument sweeps the electrochemical excitation and records the high-resolution charge-transfer response.

04

Upload

The raw spectrum streams to the Quantabia Cloud with full sample provenance and QC metadata.

05

Analyze

Physics-informed models deconvolve the vibrational ensemble into analyte-level results in the browser.

06

Re-interrogate

Add new analytes later by re-analyzing the stored file — no new aliquot required.

Cloud software

The analysis lives in the cloud, not in the consumable

Quantabia Cloud stores every raw spectrum with provenance, runs deconvolution and analyte models, and exposes results through a browser workspace and API.

  • Study-level organization with roles and audit trails
  • Automatic QC flags per vial and per run
  • Re-analysis of archived spectra as models improve
  • Structured exports for machine-learning pipelines
  • Regional data residency options for GCC customers

Applications

Four application areas, one workflow

Biomarker Discovery

Run whole cohorts without building an assay first. Every sample produces the same broad-spectrum record, so candidate signatures can be mined, re-mined and cross-validated against later cohorts. Discovery timelines shift from months of reagent development to days of measurement and modeling.

On-demand, On-the-Cloud Multiplex Assay

Multiplexing happens in software, not in the well. Because the raw spectrum is archived, an experiment completed last quarter can be extended with new measurements today — replicating the study with additional analytes and no additional sample consumption.

Pre-clinical Model Organisms

A 2.4µl reagent-free workflow makes serial sampling in mice and rats practical, replacing terminal endpoints with longitudinal trajectories. No species-specific antibodies are required, so the same measurement carries directly into human studies.

QC in Bioproduction and Synthetic Biology

Assess purity, identity and batch consistency in broth, harvest and formulation matrices without analyte-specific reagents. Release testing becomes an in-line 30-minute measurement performed by the production team.
