QESLab
Changing tomorrow
QESLab is a rolling grant program funding projects that use the QES platform early. By supporting researchers across diverse fields — clinical discovery, microbiology, bioproduction, environmental science — it builds the collaborations that accelerate bioscience research and broaden what the platform can measure.

The problem
The data gap between biology and AI models of biology
AI is reshaping biology and healthcare through its convergence with mathematics and engineering. Models now propose structures, targets and therapies at a pace biology has never seen.
Yet the measurements feeding those models come from analytical technologies that were designed one target at a time. They produce low-fidelity, fragmented views of a specimen: expensive to generate, hard to scale, and difficult to integrate across sites, cohorts and species. The result is a data gap that prevents a holistic understanding of complex biological systems — no matter how capable the model is.

Our approach
A multi-disciplinary approach to fuel the AI revolution
QES creates a digital twin of a biological specimen by representing its biochemistry as an ensemble of vibrational signatures.
Those datasets federate into digital models of biology that span early disease discovery, drug development and therapy monitoring — one measurement modality carrying information across the whole translational path.

Enabling decentralized, scalable collection of multidimensional biological datasets for AI analysis
A label- and probe-free electrochemical sensing modality that detects thousands of analytes from minimal sample, in minutes.

Applications
Versatile Bioanalytical Applications
Biomarker Discovery
Broad-spectrum signatures capture proteins, metabolites and cells simultaneously, so candidate panels emerge from cohorts in days rather than the months an affinity-reagent program demands.
On-demand, On-the-Cloud Multiplex Assay
Because the spectrum is stored, experiments can be replicated with new measurements entirely in the cloud — adding analytes to a completed study without consuming a new aliquot.
Pre-clinical Model Organisms
A reagent-free workflow needing only 2.4µl enables dense longitudinal sampling in mice and rats, where volume limits normally force terminal endpoints.
QC in Bioproduction and Synthetic Biology
Assess purity, identity and batch quality without analyte-specific reagents, turning release testing into a fast in-line measurement rather than a queued lab request.
